Using immersive technology, VR Therapy creates safe, guided environments where you can explore challenges, build coping skills, and practice new strategies in a way that feels engaging and supportive. VR Therapy is never a replacement for therapy—it is an option within it. Just like every part of your care at ASSIST, it is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by your goals, your comfort, and your voice.
Virtual Reality Therapy uses VR headsets to place you in guided, 3D environments designed to support mental health. These environments might include calming nature scenes for relaxation, simulations for exposure therapy, or peer-supported spaces for connection and reflection.
You remain in control the entire time, and your therapist will tailor each session to your needs and comfort level. VR Therapy is always used as part of a broader therapeutic approach—not as a standalone treatment.
